Congratulations to Gary & Prilly Hodges and Dave & John Staddon on being 1st & 2nd section, 1st & 2nd open in both the CSCFC & BBC OB Guernsey classics yesterday. Both members of Glastonbury FC.
Also to Liam of M/M Fairfax & Liam on 3rd section 11th open CSCFC & 3rd section 13th open BBC in the corresponding young bird races. Another club member.
It seems that the old birds handled the conditions far better than the youngsters. Old bird returns from our club members was 100% but with the youngsters only 5 birds were home from 40 sent. There are very many missing all over this area. Velocities varied from 1160 down into the 400’s.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
Congratulations to them all, the wind was certainly in their favour yesterday although a little too strong, especially for the babies, hence the varying velocities, hopefully the babies will turn up today.
