They’ve not had 2 hrs today
Yep new it
As you say 2 possibly 3 weeks at the most then I’d give it neck
What with the BoP threat i wouldn’t even train once you stop racing. Its not worth the risk of getting hit.
The education you’ve rammed into them will stand them in good stead in 2025

The work you’ll have given them no one can take away from you - except a BoP

I have a provocative suggestion for you Neil regarding that hen you got off me

Now, she's a 2018 hen and I'm thinking you bought her in Dad's Bereavement Sale in the winter of 2020?

So that means your 1st season breeding with her would have been 2021

Now, you don't race the full programme with YB as you're non darkness, and you've only recently started to dabble a bit with hens

So, unless she's thrown a healthy % of cocks, the racing from her daughters has been somwhat limited at best during her time with you?

I know you only take 2 rounds from your breeders each year

But if my maths are correct, since her introduction she's thrown you 6 different winners and 4 different Federation winners

All this from just 2 rounds a year

Now, me, I'd be looking at her Neil, and working a pattern on the garden not to rape her, but to get 3 rounds from her to race

I think she's worth it

Test, Test, Test - identify the best and then build around them - that's what I did

Yes that makes sense
I did buy her from your fathers sale
I was thinking today if I should have put some away from her and one or two others without racing them but again it’s more stock
What I may do next year is breed from my racers I never do that I only slip a few eggs from one or two cocks a year

So there is a option to get two more out of her by slipping them under racers
Of the 4 fed winners 3 were to me one last year to my club mate Albert Turville that also won the London combine section for him in that same race
But yes 28 10 and now 34 are all fed winners to my loft mate
3 club winners this year alone

I'd be inclined to only put something away to Stock either if it was particularly special or was very proven

I'd certainly not be afraid to take some YB from the best racers

The best racers that I ever had ALL bred winners without exception. It's what good birds do - it's natural to them

I'd certainly slip 2 under the racers

The fact that she's bred Fed winners with different cocks, and for your mate Albert too only strengthens her credentials in my mind

Yes I agree mate
I definitely be doing that
Now I have the peregrine issues I realised I lost 5 fed winners without them having had the chance to breed
It’s new to me this kind of lost pigeons so I need to change my management
With that plan and the new introduction your sourced for me I think the ybs team next year will be strong plus Adam M ( your mate ) had very kindly offered to breed me a few to race for nothing which is very kind of him as he had some very good pigeons I believe
