Good to see our youngsters, at the meadows OLR, have had their first training toss Murray. Things should move on from there now. Good luck to out team.
Yep, and our two, Free Beer and Devos Zillion, were among the first half of the arrivals, all within the first 5 minutes.
I am pleased.
I see some were taking over an hour, and there are one or two missing.
It's only a start, but ours appear to do things right.
It is a good start, it will be good to see how future training will be going, Then on to the main thing racing, then we will know their true ability.
Well done Murray on the breeding of these youngsters.

After many years of faultless service, our toaster toasted it's last slice and pottered off to where old toasters go.
We went down to the appliance store in the town and bought a brand new one. I suspect that it will be no better than the old one.
It came with what seems a very comprehensive instruction manual. Making toast is not a complex concept. It does have some interesting instructions. For instance:
Remove appliance from packaging.
Never immerse appliance in water.
Do not allow children to play with toaster!
I know people are having the common sense educated out of them, but, really?

I said to Catherine that I wanted to get the young grizzle cock paired up and just on eggs for the first race.
Et voila, this morning he's in a corner box with the little dark hen. I popped a nest bowl in and hopefully they'll stick. Not always the case with young birds the first time.
I'll try to get her to lay and put dummy eggs under her, then remove them so she's laid again just before the first race.
That's the plan, there's a lot can go wrong yet
I've been flying and tossing Ronnie the dark grizzle youngster. We had a bad toss yesterday, first one on the board, in mile a minute time, Ronnie.
The little dark hen has caught on that she doesn't get trained and I only let her out when she wants to.
She's been shredding her nest felt for a couple of days and this morning there's an egg, Very tiny, but perfectly formed. Ronnie the grizzle was busting to show me. He was all over my back, yodeling away,
I've noticed another pair of older youngsters snuggled up on the floor behind the door. Our first race is 5 weeks away. We might have several motivated young birds by then.
Sorry I've not kept up with your posts Muzza, I do enjoy reading them when I get the chance.
It's good to see that your race preparations are going well, it's getting exciting for you now.
All the best mate.
