Just got back and surprised to see pond still frozen and snow still on the ground

We at 1c at present but been up garden 30 mins ago and really cold broke some ice on pond to let some air in and was about 2 inches thick

Bright here at present but cloud is starting to come in, my pond unfrozen at last tried this morning and still froze but running nicely hope it stays that way as another frost forecast for tonight, I know what you mean about the ground being slippy I went a few times today even doing the splits in a fashion lol
