Yes we go back to summer the weekend plenty of rain :Andy wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 5:32 pm I don’t think we got above 1c all day either. Now -2c. I think it was the coldest night so far this winter last night. All my drinkers had a thin layer of ice on them this morning which is the first time this year. Tonight is supposed to get even colder. Possibly down to -8c. Warming up though over the weekend.
Just got back from doctors 8am appointment, walked because of weather took 45 minutes each way, pavements are treacherous where I could I walked on road, down to minus 4 here tonight according to forecast, off to do birds nowAndy wrote: Fri Dec 16, 2022 7:34 am That wind chill is bad Buster. -6c here at present. Should get up to +1c. Not going to be as cold tonight though. Only down to about -2c.
Mine been running and the air stones but had to turn off couple days ago when it was -7or8 as freezing coming out of filter boxAndy wrote: Sat Dec 17, 2022 7:15 pmIt did get up to 6c here, but not all good. We had some drizzle, which because the ground was so cold it froze. The frost did disappear but now down to 1c. If it freezes the roads will be lethal.Buster121 wrote: Sat Dec 17, 2022 3:13 pm Showing as 3 degrees in the car so fingers crossed it gets higher my pond has about 4 inches of ice on it that thick cannot break it been trying for 2 days suppose will need to drill some holes into it
My main pond hasn’t frozen at all but I have kept all the air stones going and the pumps and filters running so the water has been constantly moving. The small wildlife pond has frozen with a good couple of inches of ice. Roxanna has been breaking a hole in it so the wild birds can drink. Hopefully yours will thaw out in the next couple of days.
