Looks a bit tricky Saturday

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

I don’t treat my yb Andy not to I train then there treated constantly for 3 months
I had ybs in May this year in one section but nothing in the other before I had treated any
I always think pigeons must sit on a perch without shit and a dry floor
A vet told me the worse thing you can do is have damp shit on a perch or floor for all pigeons
Steel or plastic grids or deep dry litter is the best in my view

That's good racing. But you can't just compare different locations like for like. A fancier could have a pack drop together which would reduce the vel between 1st & 30 or 40. The number of birds sent makes a difference, like wise the number of members sending.
My local Fed is less than a 3rd of the Worcester Fed. The gap between the first 30 the week before was over a 100 yds less. I stand by what I said, for MY area the race yesterday was a decent race. I've seen Fed results in the past of large Feds that have had a bad race but you wouldn't have said it from the Fed result.
The Worcester Fed lads would not call that good racing

It's how the "team" perform that determines if its a good race

45/50 in quickish time or is a "good race"
Funny how in a bad/hard race fanciers who have big drops each week really struggle for returns. They possibly get a small number together then the rest struggle. I would say that this is because most of the birds in these big drops are just followers and once detached from their loft mates they struggle.
I get good drops Andy
Maybe you I am part of your view ?
if I don’t shut my widowhood shed in 20mins it’s a bad day

Yesterday I was 17th fed so I got them but it was a shit race I plan to move the pigeon on if it fails again in the next 2 races which it will
It’s a homer any one can get them
I like to race
Also I don’t really say much about when I send a bit further but in 4 races from Berwick I was 2nd / 4th / 9th combine
From Perth 4th and 23rd in two goes even I sent
So kind of busts open your view
I sent to Bordeaux 3 times 483 miles
I timed on the day each time 4th open I think 12th and about 40th bbc
I got no time for Pigeon’s 300th from 360 miles against 3000 to me that’s failed
But each to there own
I know a shit race a good race, a good pigeon and a homer also know a fancier and someone who keeps pets

But you never and you don’t get them in good days
You have made reason after reason not to try Mikes advice not even a 5 mile training toss 3 nights that I said try
Yet have a pop at people who get a drop
That’s not right is it

Not sure on that Murray
I do think a slightly higher easily digestible protein helps after a difficult flight
I also find the birds do recover well on certain supplements a little quicker than without any

And I would say Andy that you've very little appreciation of the effort and skill that a fancier puts in in order to get good multiple drops consistently.

2 guys who I help are Gordon Bros and Jimmy Dutton. Both very good at getting multiple drops regularly (and winning).

They're on their knees at the moment from the sheer effort needed (both physical and mental)

Early mornings, off the garden by 8am with all work and training done. I tell them 5 weeks more and you can rest for 6 months.

They don't look for excuses

Don't worry about it Neil

Andy neither wants nor takes my advice so he's had the last of any of that - regardless of how successful (or unsuccessful) those methods that he adopts are

ANOTHER ONE
I am often cynical about the frequent but completely unnecessary use of supplements.
That won't make any friends among the sellers of that stuff, but it will make people who stop giving away junk only to find that it was not only good for their wallets, they also started playing better.
Top players such as Ebben, Verkerk, de Bruijn, Thijs and vd Wouwer in particular tried products in the past that would improve form. Useless! 'Yes, but long distance is something else', I hear some people think.
AND THEN FUND?
The young stuntman on the marathon flights, Sil van Vliet, proves the opposite.
There are no supplements, recovery agents or useless medicines for his stunt pilots on the marathon flights. And where does one know a program that is as tough as the one Verkerk plays in?
You could read the same about the international winner jrl Narbonne, the successful combination Batenburg vd Merwe. They also, like more and more champions, always feed the same mixture.
Talk about not making things difficult.

1 question for you Murray

You know horses

If you visited Willie Mullins's stables who's the No.1 outfit over here in the UK do you think you'd find the use of supplements in operation at his horse yard (Yes/No)

Surely Mike means supplement that have passed the various testing and are safe / approved
