A agree you have to count the good flyers in fed ,,MIke Lycett wrote: Fri Oct 17, 2025 8:34 amCan't fault that Jack - very well donejack walker wrote: Fri Oct 17, 2025 12:47 am Thanks Mike yes i topped the fed twice and the combine once its not a big fed and combined but like Neil i will have a go at nrcc next season cheers jack
Don't stress about the size of the Fed or Combine.. The volume of birds doesn't dictate whether the Fed / Combine is strong to win or not
I know some small Fed's in number are terribly difficult to win
Down south I think north Thames fed must be tough going from Croydon to Ipswich and loaded with out standing flyers ,the inter counties fed as running from past Bovingdon to Cambridgeshire again loaded with good flyers short flyers harrow club send 1000 birds a week then there's a unbelievable flyer in Baldock that piles them in and Brian Hawes, nick Hawes Mark bullard at Harlow that really fly unbelievable then Davy hunt behind them a London north rd combine legend and then the wiltons even further east and there unbelievable,
Them 2 feds are stacked with top flyers then there's tough clubs I know clubs that are tougher than feds as well ,,
One thing I like to see is areas have group liberation at a certain distance like north west once at 150 miles all up together have separate results as normal but one big open result and so on around the uk , think this would stop a lot of the bad races where there's 100 liberation there could be a dozen instead.

Hello Jack did you know Ian Workman - mustve lived round the corner from you.....
I bought some Ronnie Williamson Buschaertts from him with a Louella pedigree. He told me a mad story about how he acquired them.

I look at the distances when doing the result and think how can that be, a few times I’ve even double checked them with the RPRA, it’s crazy. Having said that there have been some fantastic results from the longer flyers this year. Put my clocking sheet to shame.NeilA wrote: Fri Oct 17, 2025 4:56 pm Jack your have to drop me a text when you time so I can get ready![]()
What do you fly from Perth I am 348
I couldn’t believe I only got 40 miles off Nick at Norwich got to be 80 miles to London if they come down the east coast I need a bird a hour clear of Norfolk easy when they hit the Wash
I’m guessing I could get 80 plus on your area as your more in a line with me
