As individuals, we can not change a thing. Its a case of getting on with it and hope for the best. I am sorry to say, all this talk of change. Will fall on deaf ears, because that is the system that dont like change. We have to be real about this, so prepare well for another season of 2027.
Sorry Devo, but I think your wrong & that why things will continue in the same downward trend taking your approach.
If this year tells you anything with yb racing we need to change something is definitely wrong with what we have been doing a year on year downward trend you look at the last 2 year's losses, don't tell me we need to prepare for another season in 2027 because your way of thinking is more of the same.

Well i have to say my way of thinking is real, people have spoke of change for a number of years. And we have not moved forward in the sport. like you have pointed out. the downward trend of losses just over the last 2 years. So time will tell, however i do hope there is change. But i would not hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

That's your opinion Devo, you stick to your way of thinking, & I'll do the same we aren't going to agree so will leave it there.

Rings shouldn't be available in November, December should be issued late February or March at the earliest, trying to get yb going in cold damp weather in the early part of the year is a joke as well as ob.
Organisations going to the same race point with half empty wagon from the same area, should go together to share the cost, carry on like this is financial suicide.
Better to have tried to implement changes than carry on with your head in the sand jmo, but I expect it will be more of the same from people that they want control at all cost, & will never make changes to survive even if it's staring them in the face. Rant over.
I totally agree Dave. If the ring thing happened and we tried later racing that would go a long way to trying to bring about change to prevent the killing cycle but its not something that we can change as individuals and we both know that the RPRA dinosaurs won't instigate any initiatives.

Have to agree with Dave on this Dev and with the greatest respect have to say that taking that attitude is just going to speed up the demise of the sport. Perhaps you might be right and it is already too late but I have already gleaned several ideas that I shall be taking to my club/fed from this thread and some that I will be instigating myself.
That is your choice to sit back and do nothing.

Dave I am not sitting back and doing nothing, the truth is you need a great volume of people to change things. That if it can be changed, and i dont see the numbers to be honest. But we can all live in hope, wish you all the best.

As I said on an earlier post YOU yourself don't need to follow everybody else Dave. The RPRA issues rings early because if they didn't fanciers would buy them from other Unions. YOU yourself Dave like any other fancier can start racing as late as you want, your not forced into sending to the early races, late races or any race. If a Fed sees it's early races lack support they'll have to change. My local Fed has often changed race points, or dropped races because of lack of support. If you get no joy in proposing changes at your Fed meetings, change Feds.
Many forget, the RPRA does NOT set when racing starts or where a club races from. And that's how it should be. MEMBERS decide when and where they race from, and you should hope that's how it stays.

What we need is all rpra votes directly done via a rpra app and one vote per loft number that would create real changes, the issue is lots of people are living off the rpra and change means less staff needed, the push back is real

@king you are correct it's all about the collective choices we make at fed level we don't have to support a calendar we don't agree with, my main issue is the rpra needs totally reforming many paid jobs ended and way more push into the modern times and support the future growth with the money they are paid right now I don't see anything that justify the rpra fee what do they do for the sport? Marketing budget was something disgusting like £500 quid outrageous
