He was a 2005 cock 05P33181 (i know my numbers)

Bought by Matt Wright in my 2007 Entire Clearance he went on to breed something like 25 x 1st

His Mum was Pale Rider

His Dad was a direct son of Jester x Carrie
So I was texting Matt Wright about a yb this week & I asked him about Super Frank.
He bred some fantastic pigeons for them inland & over the Channel, he said you had Frank back at about 11 years old, after they had put a best son to stock, he then told me that that cock never filled an egg after you had Frank back.
That's pigeons for you Mike.

I'm not sure I've looked at the ring number or part of it, the info I had come back was from a different area, so totally wrong.

Bred by M & D Evans he's a Direct Son of "Westkapelle" x "Band of Gold".
I purchased him as a YB in 2004 and banged him and his nest brother on the road.
Both were good, but "Merlin" was very very good - he ended up being 2nd Highest priced bird in my 2007 sale

"Merlin" was 1/2 brother to "Champion Gareth Gates" (both out of Westkapelle")
Gareth is the g.Sire of that "MEGS" hen

Jack - Merlin is the G.Sire of Pete Wightman's "Portland Bill" - what a good pigeon he was
"Merlin" also features in the breeding of "Champion Churchill" who was Champion Old Bird of the NIPA for McGimpsey Bros
I can go on and on about the winners from "Merlin"

The CWL "Merlin" was a direct son of their "Merlin Pair".
They gave them that name because of their cock "Merlin" who was very good indeed

As a point of note, the mother of CWL's "Merlin" and the mother of my "Champion Houdini" were nest-sisters

[If i remember right portland bill won 3st and a 2nd in stretton f c (phil told me to put this) portland bill was going to make it 4 first but dad put a stop to him doing that ]
