They were fed on that schedule that I put up earlier on in this thread

So as the race neared the Gerry fell away and the Champion and Energy came in to play

To me the distance of those 2 x NMCC races was not so great (307 miles max I think it was) - but it did involve the channel so I'd always prefer to go with a touch of fuel in the tank as opposed to being too near the bottom of the can. It was basketing Thurs AM and you can never really predict whether the birds will hold - and then that brings all sorts of permutations into the reckoning.

What food is on the wagon? How much of it will they eat? You've no control

I am at 112 miles north rid
Anyone changed their methods or birds motivation?

I Changed to a different feeding system I’m not sure why only with a view to a few more middle distances races
Should it bomb after a cry Sunday we will be back on the normal system in time for the main races
Mike’s looked at it and see’s no reason it can’t work but sprint racing could suffer
So I take that on board
Never seen my birds eat this volume

Where is everyone and what you trying out if at all

Best of luck mate

For someone who's won sooooo many 1st Federations as you have in the last 5-6 years people might find it odd that you're changing and experimenting with a different feeding regime.

Thing is, you've set yourself different goals this year, and to add another layer of complexity to it, you're trying it with an unknown team of pigeons too really. So that requires a different approach

The delay of 24 hrs will only help you this week, and I'm optimistic of a big performance from you

Well done once again Neil on the 1-2-3-4 on Sunday.

I think having the race put back to Sunday and then a later than normal liberation helped those cocks that were considered "heavy" before the race.
