RPRA Rule Changes

This is the third time I've wrote this and for some reason it hadn't posted. So here goes.

The proposal had a small chance of being successful from the outset. Turkeys don't vote for Christmas, but it seems some do. We were relying on those who don't currently engage in the system to do so. To their credit a lot of people have. Listening , digesting and then going out of the way to obtain a mandate (for or against the proposal) and then driving many miles in some cases to attend region meetings to register their vote. That's not a criticism of those who havent; I get why.

It's now time for me to turn my full attention (or at least that of my spare time) to other pigeon racing projects I'm involved with.... one of which will hopefully be launched in the next month or two (not a RPRA rival by the way ) . Hopefully fanciers and non fanciers for that matter will see the postives and potential related to it and will get behind it.

Unfortunately not everybody sees it that way, for some their opinion is the correct and only one and others views are denigrated and dismissed
It’s now down to Tomorrow after which people will have to decide which path to follow, best of luck to all.

Luckily everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Nobody's opinion is any more valuable than somebody else's. We all see things differently. The only thing that must happen is whatever the outcome of Fridays vote we all get behind them.

I agree with your comment about opinions. It's just a shame other more senior people in the RPRA don't see it that way.

As for getting behind the status quo I'm afraid that's something I can't do. I see it as the main reason for many of the issues in the RPRA and the sport. Accepting the outcome is of course different to supporting it.

If the current set up continues after Friday I'd like to give the current CEO and his team another couple of years before I make a judgement on them. Same as if the new propositions are carried forward I'd give the new set up 2 or 3 years before passing judgement. I have absolutely no allegiance to anyone. I'd just like us all to accept whatever the outcome and pull together to try and keep this sport going for as long as possible.

The proposals are nothing to do with a judgement of the CEO. Good or bad or any person/s for that matter. It's a proposal to change the Governance system which is where I firmly beleive is a problem.
