@chrisroscoe I did respond to you about it and if you wanted to have a go I got help to put it in the competition section because it kept slipping down the list of subjects and not many responded, but I think you right a lot don't seem to use forums and use the Facebook etc but hopefully it can start to grow again

Danny, you may be best putting up the list of the comp, and asking can it be loaded on a banner mate. It can be taken down after the comp.

Sorry mate head all over the place house Reno and let the birds out for the first time lost 3 so. Hopfully gone back too there old loft I’ll message him tomorrow and found out grandad has cancer and prob has weeks left .


This is the 3rd round of the forum we use to have a massive base and 50+ members posting and has the likes of pallatts - aviform and a few other company’s that sponsored the site and we use to

The 3 lads that left the site were absolute authorities on anything pigeons and had incredible credentials to back it up. They helped everyone but the downside for them was that there was not enough ppl to discuss things at their level. So most of the conversation was among themselves and they tended to dominate the site.
Now though, with the likes of Danny and Leon, it might be a bit more attractive for them to come back.
But yes, it needs a lot more members to add to the diversity of the site and to keep it interesting.
I believe it has got better and will be more attractive for ppl looking in and to be absolutely honest, that is down to the personalities of the ppl currently on here.
I am however surprised that no one promoted the fantastic offer from Danny to try to pull new members in. I think the 'powers that be' missed a massive trick there, but don't even know who that would be down to.

I wouldn't mind any of them and never had any issue with them on a personal level. But i think im gonna be done posting on here for the forseeable future.
Dont see a point in trying to bring anything to the table when you have people that do nothing but come here and spread negativity but refuse to post or talk about anything substantial other then bad mouth people.
If anyone wants and needs help with something they can gladly Dm me here for my contacts i dont mind. But be careful after all im only in the sport since (5 minutes) so my advice must be useless

Well i think it is going to need more than a revamp, we talk about young people not coming into the sport. Well, Leon has been in the sport for a long time. Growing up around his family, his Grandad formed the club many years ago. His Dad and uncles all being involved, with Leon following them. Well like i said early on, time will tell.

Aaaahhh Leon, I wish you'd reconsider. There's always gonna be one or two ppl that don't agree with things
Don't let them get to you mate especially over something so meaningless.(I refer to the topic itself not to your contribution)
We all know where the valuable support for the site is coming from and I along with the majority of the ACTIVE members value your contributions
It would seem that some members have got it in for the site since the 3 protaganists left. Even though they left of their own accord.

Well back on tropic ways we might be able to get the site more members.

1. Asking club members to join and secretaries or members to post there results

2. If any of us are on Facebook post in groups.

3. If we are racing ask your friends that race to join.

4. Advertise in the bhw maybe ?

5. See any any your tubers or other company’s that might help spread the word.

6. See if an other pigeon forums that are dying to move over/ ofcourse there admins would probably want to admin here so I would have to allow this.

7.any other ideas ?

These are the things I have in my head and I already email YouTubers and post on Facebook groups.


Also this site needs to get back to how it was when we started it was so friendly and helpfull and if some one didn’t agree they just didn’t reply to that post and just commented on things they enjoys.

And it seems the past year or so everyone had a opinion and problems have arise and being caused this includes my self

No my house will be done soon and it will be winter and I will have time too put into the website it’s self and update all that and add new things to make it look active instead of the last post being like 2022. Which might help.

I can also get ideas together with everyone and try find members. But I also can’t do all the work my self as it looks like I’m the only one active

But what do you think to these ideas ??

Ofcourse we need the members we have now to stay active and posting and finding thing too keep the forum going.

So 2027 could be we put the work for that year and see if we can get this site back to say 40-50 active members ? And if it dosnt work then maybe we call it a day ? Like I say I’m willing but I would need help trying to get the site out there infront of people ????
