no. the cock have proper boxes. I let the cocks and hens together for 10-15 minutes before basketing. Which is what i will do in 20 minutes because we basket in 1 hour

All the hens were paired up to the cocks and they were breeding a round of youngsters aswell before racing season aswell.
On basketing day i grab the hens and lock them in the box together with their cock.
If the cock is missing since i race both i grab a different cock which usually works good aswell.
If the hen is missing I just let the cock alone in the box with a bowl as motivation.
