If you take em off the darkness now they won't be in good feather for the later races, and when you do take em off the dark, you normally do it gradually.Chris1978 wrote: Wed May 13, 2026 1:43 pm Goi g take them off the darkness for a few days see if does anything for them pluss goi g worm and canker them
If you go down the route of brushing them up, pick your days, not like today with these blustery winds. With your non darkness ybs flying ok, when they're up and flying round home, then try and brush them up, be careful not to frighten the non darkness babies.
I've been in the same boat, we never did frighten them up, they went up eventually, it just might be the moult?
If you're not too bothered about the latter races where the money is, I wouldn't bother with darkness, it's a fact that natural ybs tend to fly and range alot earlier?
Good luck whatever you do

Not telling u how to suck eggs chris basket darkness baby's up take em 1 mile let them go 20 secs apart 1 at a time don't take long u might get 4,5 join together after 3 times move another mile double the distance each time once they had 3x6 mile tosses u can train basket at a time u will lose very little birds ,iv done this and had birds at the coast over 150 miles before there 11 weeks old ,,loft flying is nice but means nothing had baby's fly for 4 hours win nothing had baby's fly 15 mins n win nearly every yb race ,
But trust me on this have few handfuls pinhead oats waiting for them feed once home ,all ways toss 20 mins after there dinner time so they rocket home ok
