I'm talking about a hen with a gap in its wing ,,I took first 10 six weeks running Carring 4 flights as yearlings topped fed 5 times ,,but that hen as lost feathers n it's not just that it's the mental damage done after a strike some just totally stop racing for us .

I agree the mental damage can be a problem. Neil said she flew an hour with the rest so she maybe ok. The other hen he talked about not wanting to go out I'd be more concerned about sending.

I went 5 miles west on the edge Royston
11/15 and another with tail flights missing
I haven’t seen my pigeons panting but two hens were when they just dropped like there heart would pop out

It's the same for everyone Neil you just can't get a break from BOP it's all got out of control,bad enough if you've got a big team with the number of pigeons. But if you've only got a small set-up then 1 or 2 bad tosses training or racing & your season's over.

I only started racing hens due the issue when my cocks we’re getting hit just to have more pigeons

Do I go in 5 baskets one at a time or all up together or let half go and move a few miles

I single mine first 8,10 tosses if tail wind I may let go batch but nose wind small groups

How long the gaps do you go it to chase only I think they might join is there’s to many to often being youngsters

Not long not even a minute but you might get 4 together never get a big batch I start short 1 mile

Just few pin heads m8 they normally don't trap like bullets first few times ,they trap perfect from loft flying but it's normally all comes together once there past 8 mile training stage normally ya worse toss is before the 8 mile toss

My yearlings wasn't raced in club but there first race was mnfc yb race ,this season they been on fed sheet 6 times from 6 races pal ,,I'm like you there born good .
