Will she be any good....

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Is the loft at Sunderland not there anymore
Just thinking if it is could you ask the man as he would have seen her hanging about

Goose and Steve would be better for this one
It wouldn’t be one for me but each to their own.

What ever distance you like you need to challenge
It’s strange lads that are 5 min behind sprinting people think there shit
Lads a day behind at 500 miles get excited to get one
Still the same result just more hard work for the pigeon
Remember my pal saying send ya best n don't cry if u lose them ,he also said in national racing 75 percent are out the result because the wind is against them so you only have 25 percent to beat and if there's 2000 birds in that 25 percent 1200 of them won't be any good so 800 birds you have to beat ,,he said people think because there late sprint racing there do better over the pond but he said birds 20 mins to 1 hr late in land are hours late across the pond ,
What I don't understand lads send birds paying £7 plus a bird for distance racing and the bird there sending ain't worth £7 it's whole life its been late home and they think it's going to change over night and turn in two a racer ??

Lads, I really do appreciate all your help n advice and my birds have never looked or handled better thanks to your help.
But I if your way of racing was the only way, I would be spending my time fishing lol.
Whilst you can't see the sense in doing what I do I cant
see any sense in what you do.
Enjoyment of this wonderful sport comes in different forms and disciplines. For many it is a hobby rather than a sport.

What do we do differently dave ,,I probably spend less time with my birds than you ,
I drive 1hr 15 each morning to work and then back again
Only thing I do is make sure there loft flying times are correct and everything needed for that day is covered
But again dave if I was fishing and blanking and others were catching fish I be asking questions watching what they do differently.

I don’t think our views have anything to do with how you race and wasn’t meant that way we hope you do well
I respect distance fanciers my mates Mark Bulled
I don’t get how people like homers but that’s not you as your sending to win Dave
It’s the people that are a day behind and think they did well I can’t understand if the winners timed in around the same distance and area

We look forward to your races this year and hope you get a good one
Thanks Neil and back at ya mate.

I believe that's where the big difference is Ant. Yes I want to win but I'm much more relaxed about it if I don't, everything you guys do is "paramount" to winning,
I'm not saying for one minute that's wrong and I am sincere when I wish you good luck because what you put into deserves the winning but its not for me. I enjoy my birds my way and winning isn't the be all and end all
I have said before on here - for me to get a bird "in the clock" from Barca is my dream.
I get that wouldnt be good enough for you Ant so I guess that's where the difference is.

I am with you Dave, and when you get a position, well up in your Sect. and even better, well up in the Open, you are on cloud nine, and it is far more rewarding, I.M.O. But everyone to thier own, if we were all alike, pigeon racing would not be as good, I find it all interesting.

I'm not interested in races over 300,400 Miles dave but if I become interested in that in yrs to come I will obtain birds that are proven from that distance and current,,
I won't bother trying to get sprint middle pigeons to do distance and I won't bother buying old strains that are 50,60 yrs past it ,,
I do understand tho it's a different buzz clocking a good one in a national or classic race totally different feeling to clocking in a fed race.
