Thanks Mike. It’s now a matter of whether I trust the report given what I’ve been toldMIke Lycett wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 7:31 am Having tested and got a clean bill of health Pete then treating is for your own psychology as opposed to the birds benefit

Yep, I’ll report back. Although I have to say the respo symptoms were very minor so only further testing (perhaps by a different lab) will tell me that I think.NeilA wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 7:05 amPeteDerby wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 11:32 pmI’ve been advised that this place isn’t perhaps as good as I thought …….NeilA wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 7:30 am Thanks for sharing that Pete be interested to see if you notice an improvement
Do they suggest another test after treatment or happy that the meds will solve it
Only way your see is If there treatment solves the issue you have noticed Pete

The respo was detected from mouth and throat swabs, Anthony.Anthony webster wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 10:43 amI don't understand some of the commentsPeteDerby wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 6:43 amIMG_2775.jpegAnthony webster wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 8:39 pm
I hope not pal , do u get exact counts for each test done ,a proper firm you get exact counts ,,when you get just negative or positive I'm sceptical about these tests.
Not posted a photo before so let’s see if it works. I had the tests done because I believed the birds had some sort of respiratory issue - not ill-looking but some of them just sounded a bit ‘gutteral’ if that makes sense. The report confirmed that and you’ll see what else it said.
Enrofloxin don't treat streptococcus its best for ecoli
You use amoxicillan clavnic acid for streptococcus this is just common sence but was these detected from pigeons of from perch n floor because swabbing a door handle in house will show positive for everything.

Good advice Mike,
I'm sceptical about certain firms
4 friends all used one firm all got exactly same results
Then 2 yrs bk remember john mccall sending tests to 3 companies all 3 companies had different results think similar happened to Terry Mccarthy when he raced .

So if they sneeze straight after it’s a respiratory issue ? As I’m sure my cocks do that not all but 2/3
I thought is it the quil Tonic doing it and planned to watch the hens this weekend
