Yes I have the last 2 years during the moult I thought they could have looked better last year
I used the powder form and the algae begins with S heads gone can’t think of it
I didn’t this year I went back to poultry spice and yeast to be honest I think they look just a bit better this year than last but then it could be the quil boost I’m trying
I know people say supplements can’t change feathering but I’m not convinced
I use it as well Neil buy kg bags of it from horse shop ,,I like lots and in breeding season

Diamond Dave wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 11:42 am Just asked AI about infusing garlic into an oil said should be used within a week otherwise there is a chance of botulism......?
I think I would happily mix a few cold pressed oils together but maybe keep the garlic in the water.
No one has said anything about wheat germ oil - I thought that was suposed to have good properties for the birds.
Ant - I am in awe of your knowledge about country and animal matters. If there is a war in the next few years in this country- can I be on your side lol.
Funny pal

Agree last year Mum was very ill the last few months of her life and I really didn’t bother much with pigeons not with corn or supplements or minerals and I think the birds showed this
I understand that 2023 my dad was in hospital 2 months I travelled every day to hospital 1hr 20 drive each way 2024 same another 2 months in hospital then this spring I lost dad and I loved the pigeons but last 3 years iv not been my self with them iv looked after them but not done things I normally do and results showed compared to before.
