Like Me 17 mile behind first drop lads 10 to 14 miles behind me lads 4 miles west and lads 17 miles east of me in federation.MIL wrote: Mon May 25, 2026 7:47 am He's Burton & Derby Fed Ant
He's guys flying 10 miles West of him, probably something similar into the East of him
Guys about 15 miles or so further than him and probably 6,7,8 miles in front of him
So, whichever way the wind blows, "on paper" he'd never start as favourite.

I’d say maybe 8/10 of my best ever performances were when i never ‘won’ the race but in my mind was by far the best bird in the race

Stretton just short of 3 miles south of Etwall Neil.NeilA wrote: Mon May 25, 2026 6:34 pm Is Stretton in Etwall Pete
I haven’t heard of either sorry for my lack of knowledge in that area
Stretton needs a dead South wind really. Too .much West and the South Derbyshire lofts should dominate, any East and Rugeley lofts of Mark Nesbitt and C Lead beater will wipe the deck. Rugeley are the short fliers in the fed, the best place to be in my opinion, and some South Derbyshire lofts can be over 5 miles short of Stretton lofts. The drag is on the east side of Burton, the way the Rugeley lofts fly, anything barring a strong West and they will always be in the mix, especially Mark Nesbitt in his current form, but their club birdage is dwindling.

I know but it's not bad location n we can only pixx with the dick we have ,,but if the birds are in front batch they should make fed sheet if there not then that's different story ,,iv raced in feds that are 50 by 70 mile radius and been plum middle of fed but still managed to top em n make top 10 to 30 on fed sheet more times than I didn't on most winds ,,but that looks pretty much like a corridor fed like a train so if Rugeley dominate I say they there probably better flyers with more birds in front batch drive the train home instead of be passengers on the train back home.
