Top fanciers are top fanciers because they have good birds, it's not because they are feeding a special brand of corn.

You could get the best fanciers in the World and find they all feed different. Nearly ALL pigeons feeds are good, fanciers even win with corn straight from the Farm, which is the SAME corn you but from the big companies, only different is the corn is cheaper and doesn't have a nice picture of a pigeon on the bag.
Don't be fooled into thinking good corn is the most expensive.

I used to feed any brand when I raced, none was better than the other, when sprinting and working shifts I hopper fed tic beans and won when the club had 50 members. I now feed Bamfords multitask & Bamfords Breeding Supreme. (many in my area race on these mixes) Simply because they are good mixes and a lot cheaper than many of the fancy mixes ;)
That's what I always say, king. What you are feeding is always less important than what you are feeding it to.
I feed a simple mix that I make myself, all year round. It's good feed, made from good clean grain, but it's nothing fancy.
Raising youngsters they get a pot of peas in the box, racing they might get some more maize, but maybe not. All depends.
It's all about the pigeons. The good ones go faster than the bad ones.

You raise good points King, everyone as a budget in the sport. Now i can only speak for myself, and i do like this feed. Yes it does have nice bright photos, but its not about that to me. When you walk around Blackpool show, all the different brands are there to be seen. And yes they do all say that their feeds are best. So i would rather go with my own thoughts, and i do like the balance of this type of system. But like i say, these are my thoughts, thank you for your reply. This is what we need on the site, other members thoughts and views.
I like that feed too, and if it was available here and I could afford it I would use it. Would it make them go better? Who knows.

Like Danny says, the common mistake is over feeding them. And feeding too heavy a mixture.
You want them athletic, lean and fit and bursting to go. We've had a cold, wet winter, the birds were feeling it so I put extra peas and maize in the feed. They were flopping around the place, hardly getting a sweat. I'm meant to be racing in a few weeks so I put them back on their usual diet and zoom, they are off like rockets.
A lighter, easily digestible mix is the answer for youngsters. As I read once, "Peas are great for young birds, especially if you want them to have blue flesh and be late in the races".

As I mentioned, it's been a hard winter. I was just reading that in Antarctica they have just recorded the coldest temperatures in earth since 2012. The cold winds coming off the southern ocean start down there so no wonder it's been cold. :o :o :o

I’m just feeding an all round mix along with some super widowhood that I have left from the old bird season.
But as I’ve previously said I’m not that interested in young bird racing. Can’t really be in my club. Our first 4 races are all from 34 miles it’s not until the 7th race that we go over 100 miles. Being the shortest flyer and flying in a big radius mine will invariably be coming back from the West having gone over, as they have the first 2 weeks. It’s just for the experience and having got them all last week they are learning to break out or find their way back.
