I would like to mention one thing about Murray, I had the time to spend 2 weeks at his home in Austraila. And what 2 weeks they turned out to be, Cathrine and Murray made me most welcome. Along with their 3 cats, the time i spent with Murray and Cathrine. From early in the morning, to late evening. I spent alot of time observing, the love Murray shows to his birds. Even though Murray is not in very good health, no day is different. From early start cleaning out and carrying out all loft tasks, then maybe a trip into town that was a good drive away. Before he left he checked that every task was done. Then after we returned from our visit to town. Murray would once again see to the birds, again all evening tasks carried out. Before he would sit down and enjoy his evening meal. Cathrine also loves spending time in the garden, and some of their veg they grow are added to the birds daily diet.
I have to say the birds are always in top condition, and the health of the birds are paramount. It was a pleasure to spend time with Murray and Cathrine. I have memories that will always stick with me, wherever i go. So a big thank you to Murray and Cathrine.

Not these ones. I'll try to get him chipping or hatching when he goes to his first race.
It's all a bit of guess work. I've raced young birds paired and hatching before, but never anything as young as him.
I had to do something with him, he was chasing everything and driving himself mad. He's settled right down in his box.
It might work, it might not. Beautiful youngster, it's worth a try.

I've got pigeons in Breeders Plates and special ring races and OLR and stuff all over the place, so this is just something to play with at home.
I gave them another little short toss today, 3 youngsters and 5 yearling cocks, and when I got home they were all in. The youngsters got the hang of that quickly.
They're fully fed twice a day so it shows they don't need to be kept tight to make them trap. Just open the hens side and zoom!
