Some pigeon that Jack Jones Devo. Its a hell of a career.
I have a question for any distance flyers looking in which is..... how many times in a season would you expect your birds to fly over 500 miles considering that most of that type of distance races are within the last 8 -10 weeks of the season.?

I think when your racing the distance, you have to be very selective with your team of birds. Choose which birds will take part, on the calender racing. A big part of this racing is the recovery i would say, so obseravation will play a very big part in selection. My aim would be to have a team, but each bird would only have upto 3 races throughout that season. Just my thoughts.

There is so much preparation, that goes on before any race. And everyone will be different on how they prepare. Here is just one way, your thoughts?

I see the first of this years Barcelona birds was clocked at 6.09am this morning, flying around 657miles into Belgium. There are another 2 in, 1 in France and 1 in Denmark.
Well done to them and good luck to all still waiting, let's hope the returns are good 🤞

Good luck with your venture too Leon, do your homework and be patient, it's going to take time.

This is yesterday's liberation, just over 16,200 birds, 1,352 of them from the UK.
