Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Yes Tony, I have put 2 into the Shropshire one loft on behalf of a few lads down the pub.(non fanciers)
They are already lovin it - youd think they own a race horse but the bantrr has been good and they havent even started yet.

Just to ask if any of you put any birds in any OneLoft Races ?

Only asking as (You know) I don't have any pigeons (yet) but I did put Two pigeons in a OneLoft race last year who was gifted to me from a Racing Pigeon Man, and it was get to follow the progress and then see live streams of the racing as the birds coming back to the loft and trapping.

Cheers, Tony
Hi Tony

I enter 1 every year this year we entered a winter one in Spain, if I’m honest I like the Thailand ones best but they’re a little tough on the pocket.
Steve what's involved in entering & sending to these races , is it a straightforward process.
Very easy Dave, the ones in this country are a lot cheaper than the big ones abroad. (Not the same sort of prize money though)
With the shropshire one you get a daily report on the intake from the guy running it and all returns and results are on the Benzing One Loft Website.
Benzing are responsible for hundreds of OLraces.
Incidently, Shropshire are taking ybs until May 1 if you have anything ready to be weaned.
Our syndicate is the Pot Dogs if you want to look it up on Benzing.

The OLR I have put birds in for the races later this year is now at 117 fanciers and 1120 birds, some are going for it as they have put 20, 30 and even 40 birds in at a time I'm only in it for a bit of fun, and a little win would be nice.

First 1km training today in sweden seems like all pigeons from our team made it through since arriving there. Glad to see that they are all healthy and all survived from delivery till now :D

Youngsters were barely older then 40 days. It surely is a mix of both and there are several methods to see the difference between a cock and a hen already 15-20 days after birth but i dont pay attention to that when i send to one loft race.
Certain breeders of main i select before the breeding season specially to pair them up for OLR and also different for each race due to the different condition and distances. and we have been doing one loft races since before 2009 and we at the very least made our money back every year. we also won once in a final and came 2nd on several hotspots and 2x on a semi final which 1 of them was devo actually because we breed 1 team for him in 2024 for a one loft race in germany which is how we met

In such a short time i have known the Spieker family, i keep in contact with Leon. And i must say after my visit to Germany, it is good to have communication with Leon. Chatting about different things in the sport, and how things are going in the lofts. From the day i met Leon and Christopher, I knew this loft would be going stronger in racing and breeding. There are no short corners, everything is measured in thoughts for improvement. In all racing and breeding. Not only in club racing, but OLR too. Good luck lads on this years OLR, I am looking for good results from your teams.
