I think that’s shit currently

No issue with sunflower but at times it can taste a bit bitter or acid like not massive but enough to notice
I like safflower as long as its good stuff great feed in a mix when it's really hot weather.

If I thought the race was 1350 or below (sprinting) i used to add a couple of handfuls of Mung Beans to the feed on a Thursday night / Friday
Ya I like mung beans was a tippler flyer in Midlands told me about them yrs ago ,,I also like them more than peas n beans as a protein source after a race .

There’s a couple of mixtures now with smaller protein like mung beans in it I saw a VL one that I was going to try but in the end stuck with my energy mix Saturday / Sunday morning
I can’t think what the name of it was now 🤣
Versel laga ic base mix is a good mix for easy digestive protein

Bk in 09 to 14 I used stage 6 whey protein on feed then in 2017 I used apf 90 but in 2019 I changed to lamb colostrum replacer with zeolite added to food the colostrum is over 60 percent protein n zeolite removes all toxins from food and body so the nutrition they get is all nutrition its zeolite for horses I use.

So it would go from 30g to about 45 grams as the week went on depending on wind
I was talking to a friend who is a real top flier winning his fed averages flying just old birds and no ybs year before last in a big competitive fed and he tells me I should feed by volume no matter what the day is or if you feeding lighter corn you should measure the amount of corn of your heavier race mix and use that as your guide so if you want to feed 35 grams measure what your feeding the end of the week and feed the same amount earlier in the week by the volume even if it’s a lighter corn
I can see the benefits but it a big difference in weight to feeding to a volume and not weight
Last year another very good fancier told me he fed by a set spoon all week to Thursday
Now he feeds pretty much barley then a traditional mix later in the week so again a vast difference in weight

Hello Neil so after many emails last night about the Beyers mixes do you think we've been feeding to heavy for sprinting as we said about feeding by the spoon that's a lot less in terms of gms per pigeon so if your going by a heaped spoon towards the end of the week in my reaconing you'd still be under, so have we been overfeeding .
