Hello, what's members thoughts on the best supplements you've used that has made a difference to the health of your pigeons, or made a difference when moulting & breeding.
Any feedback please

As ive said before somewhere in a post we use about 15-20 different supplements through the year if not more. But if i had to rank top 3 it would be

Dosto 12 Tollisan
Tollyamin forte
Rohnfried Blitzform

There is plenty more products which i consider useful and which i feel like and seen a difference in health and performance for sure otherwise we wouldn't use them but the 3 listed are the most Essential for us
Dosto 12 + Blitzform our loft gets through the whole year 2x a week

We did very well when we used Blitzform but I ended up going off it and using "Quick" instead by Tollisan
On observation my birds would only ever "sip" the Blitzform - they hardly took any of it on board - and I was concerned that would lead to dehydation
When I moved to "Quick" (still Iodine based) they drank it more readily

Since our birds get it all year even tho outside of the racing seasons very small dosages just 1ml/5L usually they take it in very well to be honest. In the racing season depending on the weather its upped to 1.5-2ml/L 2x a week. We did also use Quick tho in 2022 and 2023 which honestly worked just as well. Huge fan from tollisan products in general and use alot of them in the racing season like immunol / Extra energie / Nano etc.
They did also feature me in their 2022 magazine tho so i might be a little biased . I do also use quiet a few products from rohnfried and other companies tho so its not like i only trust on tollisan.

I like ad herb oils
Gemthepax, strike from gem
Blitzform as well ,
But best seasons been on dr brocamp
But these products all work best in different combinations never ever used by them self's..

I like products that control the PH
Apple cider vinegar. Avidress
Most things can change the PH in water not just the above
I’m using Quill tonic currently as a trial I think it’s good pigeons look great on it
What I would say is get a PH pen for about a fiver check the dose you need
People can easily chuck to much in the drinker
You want the water between 4.5 and 5
So what ever you use just adjust the dose yourself
Other product is iodine like Mike said
If you can get the 10 percent that’s great 1ml to 10 litres if you can only get 7.5 per cent ( like I can ) put 12.5 ml per 10 litre
Once a week cuts down the canker and fungus issues
After all impact / blitzform / Gerdon are only iodine based and it’s £17 for 500ml so probably half the price when you compare the dose level
Lugols iodine will not do the same job in my view others will disagree but if you google your see

Neil don't you mean 1ml to 1 Ltr ?

I think Avidress is quite good, and also the yellow drops, I like the Jaap Koehorn ones but they’re had to get in the UK. My favourite is egg food the pigeons love that.

I like yellow drops or acriflavine if I’m racing week to week which I haven’t this year
I use it Thursday as it can give them
a lift but do prefer it up the hooter one drop each side rather than down the throat or on the food
But it’s a pig of a job but runs through t y nasal passage that way

I haven’t tried the egg food Steve is that a high protein pellet ?

The egg food is like crumbs, it’s a good source of animal protein, more over the pigeons love it.

What’s people’s thoughts on pigeon vitality tricho stop
Anyone know what’s in it and does it work ?
I noticed Wade brothers use it weekly which got my attention
I believe Mike likes some of those brand so interested in his views and others experience with this particular product

I used there stuff 2021 load of rubbish for me wasted my money ended up giving it away .

Pigeon vitality
Bronco plus ,,
Fungi stop them 2 products pigeons won't drink there intake of fluid goes down to less than 15ml a bird per day complete rubbish.
Trico stop not needed ,yellow drops kills all cankers and fungi in 1 hour off being given to a pigeon and clears upper mucus as well ,,acriflavin bought from koi carp shop £9:99 will last ages and you get 10 times the amount from a pigeon supplies.

I only started about 6 /7 weeks ago
Although the pigeons should start to look good now I can see mine are sparkling the feathers seem extra silky to me and the dropping are perfect
It maybe coincidence but I am definitely going to continue with it . I currently use it at the manufacturer dose but I haven’t got around to checking the PH it’s possible that I might not need or at that amount
Although maybe you do anyway no matter what level the PH is get the benefit
I put 10ml into my can and have used it pretty much every day apart from when I use the iodine . I imagine it’s safe to mix but I haven’t yet

Thanks for that Neil. Been using it for around 3 weeks myself although I'm only using it twice a week. It's just my phobia of giving them stuff in the water One fancier who uses it Nick Perrott had a very good season with the BICC and know he was a top class terrier man before that, just a good stock man, so when he gave it a favorably mention that made my mind up to give it a try. I did read he uses it everyday too. So I maybe just need to stick them on it for a couple of weeks straight and see how their looking.
