If you look at the locked topic you’ll see that it has been edited , however, the offensive comment regarding the total disregard for his birds welfare is still there but the response is not.

The point you all seem to be missing is, the welfare of the birds will always be Paramount. And i for one will make sure it happens, i dont take it as banter. So if members could refrain from chat like what was said, then the threads wont be locked. Like you say we are all grown up so please remember that.

Goose to be honest, i feel somthink was said. Then it was a case of stopping it before it got out of hand, so if i made the wrong call for topic to be locked. My desion was made on prevension. i think its better that escalation.

Something certainly was said, an idiot on an open forum said he didn't care if the pigeons he bred became soup. The post should have been removed and said idiot's account deleted. The comments that followed were totally merited and there's no getting around that. Having a debate or even arguing doesn't bother me one bit, keeps the forum alive. Said comments by Murry have no place on an open forum or pigeon fancying in general. End of.

The whole thing has been blown out of all proportion.
Murray just made a flippant remark and ppl were too quick to jump on him.
We all know what Murray thinks of his birds and it was the reaction that was totally over the top.
But TBH I fear that it has come about from the historical treatment of Mike and his mate which has brought about ill feeling from a lot of the members and is very obviously still evident and will continue to be while you mods dont let ppl have their say.

Yes BB. Flippant - it was related to the vegetables that Murray feeds his pigeons which was relative to the conversation.
You know what Murray thinks of his birds, the same as we all do but you couldnt wait to jump down his throat.
It wasnt necessary, you could have easily just made light of the remark in a quiet way.
IMO your unecessary, over- reaction would bring about more attention from Joe public that a joke comment from Murray.
My other point is that since the episode with Mike there is still a lot of resentment from some members to a point where people are hanging on the every word of the ppl responsible and cant wait to bring them down.
We are all pigeon fanciers together ffs. Some know more than others, some do things different, some say the wrong things, some are funny and anyone with the initials BB are as serious as fck and are not happy unless they are quoting rules.

What a load of absolute rubbish. The blame is firmly with Murray and his post should have been deleted right away. And I'm pleased BB took him to task over it.

But as is the way with people now when Mr Murray was taken to task he took his ball and went home

its old pigeon chat members again can't comment or have an opinion or they are wrong or shouted down ive said it previously and stand by it yes you are the site moderators but you are not the site dictatorship just because you don't agree doesn't make you right or your click right even if their wrong si don't run the site like it and people might post more just a observation btw
