I had a great visit with my mate George, I set off at 8.00am this morning. Hit some traffic on the way, arrived just after 12.00. It was really good to see George, he as not been to good over the last few weeks. He had the birds in the baskets, ready for me to handle. I must say the birds are in good health, when you consider these birds don't fly out. We had a chat about some of the old birds he had, and I know they were very good birds. The Old red cock, the Gaby 11 blue cock along with his hen. He also showed me a nice cock from the grizzled he had. I must say in all the birds were looking well. George is 80 years of age next week, and he has had a life time of racing pigeons. One hell of a guy in the sport.

A few more photos of some of the birds. These eye shots were taken 10 feet away. He keeps it so simple, but loves his time with them. When Morgan is there George, get him to do some eye shots. He is very good with them.

That's great!
I am so pleased you were able to go and see George, It would have been just the tonic he needed after being not very well.
George has some lovely birds, the dark chequer looking out through the wire took my eye.
Greetings from the land down under. :D

That was a lovely surprise, great to see you two dear friends having a good catch up :D
Happy 80th birthday too George, I hope you have a good day, with very best wishes my friend.

Those youngsters you bred me last year were lovely George, you do have some quality birds. Unfortunately as you know, we had one bad race that wiped half of my team out, including 3 of yours, the other two did carry on and fly the rest of the season, unfortunately one I dropped from the last race, the other one the hawk got at home
I believe a grizzle you bred for Andy is still playing a part in his team.

All the best mate, keep enjoying what you are doing for as long as you can :D
