Unfortunately, its the only time she does anything with the birds. The rest of the time she dont get involved at all. Tbh. She'd have them gone tomorrow if she could.
But the women at the pre-school and the mums think its marvellous.

My wife never once asked or suggested I get rid of the birds, I did that of my own accord

She used to tolerate them though because she could see my passion for them

Not Saturday's though - she used to say "You're a different person on a Saturday"

To be fair she was right too, I was always like a cat on a hot tin roof on a Saturday :D :D :D

Mines never once been inside my loft I think only within 10 yards of it twice
She doesn’t mind me having them but she does think it takes up to much time in the summer when other things could be enjoyed together

If we're being fair Neil she's probably right; - but you'd be a sod to live with if you kept getting beat every week put it that way!

Catherine always tolerated the pigeons because at least I was at home, not at the pub or at the golf club or away all day fishing or whatever.
Now I'm retired and maybe not going to live to be a hundred she knows how much I enjoy them and while not actively interested, she is very happy for me to spend time with my birds.

I was so lucky when i had the birds, Maria would always get involved if I needed to be elsewhere. Scraping the lofts feeding the birds, putting the rings on the youngsters and other tasks needed doing, She even looks after the railway birds that come daily.
