I think with winds changing to East it puts London in a better position as in a west we are doing dead miles from Boston etc

Yes pal agree it can definitely be done on the right day ,I think Perth, Fraserburgh, Thurso are ya best chances Dunbar very difficult because the route they take in even on East winds Nottingham just about get them but further up its much fairer I think .

My pal said Cambridge marking station packed yesterday with lads from London and in-between said its really taking of now pal.

When I was in tne big markets once it was over 25mph gusts we didn’t work mate it was bloody frightening with them 30 feet stalls the sheets were like sails
Used to drag me with them when I was a kid

I'm not sending either my late beds 2nd race I don't fancy it ,there my future.

U be fine Neil I've selected last 3 season on East wind North Rd pigeons now back racing south where I need west in the big races .its good keeps us thinking at night.

Ok ish I didn't win the NRCC so I could of done better, however, Dale Culling who did win the NRCC is a top chap so a well deserved win for him. I sent 24 timed 23 and got the other Sunday morning, got pipped into 2nd place in the club 6/104. in the club I had 2,3,4,5,7,9 12,14,15. My first 1 bird is currently 22nd Open NRCC and as the first 4 are within 3 minuets of each other they'll probably all make the top 100 NRCC. So a good race with room for improvement at Fraserburgh.

Thanks chaps. These are the races I always want to try and do well at, so my whole season is geared around the 250 mile plus races. Fraserburgh next 362 miles to me and it can be a difficult race point so here's hoping the weather will be relatively kind, a nice SW wind giving us around 10 hours would be perfect!!

Dunbar to me is around 268 miles. 4 of the first 5 from Perth were yearlings. As young birds they only had 3 races to 70 miles. this year they had 1 x70 miles 1 x 90 miles and two at 132 miles. I only sent 1 yearling to Dunbar because I wasn't happy with them. Perth to me is 313 miles so they had a 181 mile jump.
