It would depend a bit on what the club you are or have joined is using. We have all the different systems in our club but some clubs only, or prefer only, to use one system.
I don’t know when you are planning on starting Tony. If not looking to race this year, unless you want new, you could wait until the end of the season when some will be selling their systems secondhand.
If looking for new it would cost anything from around £400 up to £1,000 plus, depending on the size of pads and quantity required. Of course you will also need to purchase the ets rings.

I remember my grandad racing with a Toulet clock, before we moved to a T3, then a Taurus ETS system!

I now race on the iPigeon clock! How the times have changed!!

We lost my Grandad a couple of years ago, but I dug out one of his Toulet clocks, and his old race results sheets to build a memory cabinet sort of thing! 😅

I was a chief clock setter at 13 and the clocks we set were Skymasters, Rotherham’s (24hr dials),Girods, 10b,12 & 16b Toulets STB’s, Belgicas (with the 3 small dials) and the good old Junior
Loved every minute, who remembers having to go to the phone box and get the master struck off lol
