1. John Rumney from the North East
2. Theres a fella on the Southcoast ( herne bay) whose name escapes me at the moment but I will add it when I remember.
For a week of entertainment I would love to have a week with Shane - the craic would be amazing.
I rrmembered.... John Chipperfield.
what’s it you admire in them guys
Well Neil for John Chipperfield, he is one of those guys that always seems to clock from the longer distances whatever thr conditions.
A couple of years ago I won first section from Bicc Perpignan clocking on the 3rd day. It wasnt a remarkable result because there was only 3 birds sent from my section. But John Chipperfield had clocked 6 yearlings on day 1 on a day when there were quite a few birds missing.
I admire John Rumney because of his philosophy and dedication - he sends/trains his birds in a club/ fed that
is 150mile south of his loft travelling that distance every week. That club also flies South so his birds are flying some 250 + every week but have to fly the last 150 miles on their own.
He then travels down to the Bicc marking station at Northampton all the way from Newcastle to enter his birds - a round trip of some 8 hours.
The unfortunate thing is that because of its layout, he is 4+ hours (drivin) north of me but he is in my section so if the wind is up their backsides I might as well shut up shop.

Jack Whylie and Blue Blitz now there's a blast from the past. Proper old school fancier and a top top class pigeon. That left many a goodun down through it.
