Unsure Neil because u can't teach em way home ,,if there clearing well doing 18 miles 18 to 22 mins all winds there be OK if there fuking around then I wouldn't race em until they was right.

When training do you have the hens waiting at home for the cocks and when training hens will there be cocks waiting,or do you take both and release them 10 or 15 minutes apart and let them mix for a short time when they are back in loft.

When I raced cocks only all pre season I did never before just after training on a nice day I would go 10 miles 3-4 times
My last toss would be a week before or 6 days so I had a week clear of hens
After that i only trained 3 times on a Monday to the 4th race then no more
I never showed hens just bowls
Pre race I have shown them for a min or to the birds are down in the bowl before but when there right you can just lift them calm from the loft
The worse race I had over about 8 years was when I tried to train the cocks Friday morning to the hens yet it seems to work for others

Now I’m flying celibacy I haven’t a clue what I am doing or going to do on return

Yes, whenever my cocks trained they always had their hens waiting on return. Sometimes they would be allowed contact - sometimes not. Depends on each pigeon and where you are in the overall cycle of things. When we raced Roundabout then yes, both sexes were liberated a minute or two apart (hens first) and again the returning cocks were allowed to see their hens.

I think if you can count to 10 slowly and still see pigeons even in the far distance there not spot on for sprinting

20 secs is basically a 1/3rd of a mile

If this happens after the time what would your thinking be Mike & Neil respo?& What would you do if the first group came back over towards you would that be respo again or something completely different.

I would think resonate as you say n but the hard part is knowing what type but if there not clearing respo my first thought
Although my pal had this spending like 40 secs at lib point he wormed them and they changed to breaking straight off
