Yes, only got a 25/30mm roof overhang at back so
difficult. I have vented about 8ft of the 12 foot back but can easily add another 4ft of vent in the same way so will defo do that and try the polycarbonate at the front.
Thanks Neil, I will let you know if it works. ( will take me a few weeks tho.)
I like Ants chimney idea but they look expensive and I am reluctant to make any holes in the roof.

Sorry Held, looks like I've hijacked another of your posts.
I'm thinking that the problems I am having with ventilation might give you some ideas of what not to do and so we both benefit from everyone's replies.

No problem Dave yours looks good but I think Neil is right in what’s he’s saying going off the lofts I’ve been to and videos I’ve watched and read up on. I’ve also seen people block up the lower louvres on the doors from the inside but can be opened on warm days. Think just the open dowel along the top and open space at top on the rear would do the job for you. I will put pictures up once I’ve got set up as you say could help someone else.

Yo can see from photos where I lowered the height of the boxes to fit a couple of vents in back.

Hi dave the vents on doors at bottom pal on inside I would put 2 layers of green scaffolding meeting over them air will get it but at a calmer speed pal ,the dowells I would cover with poly carbonate ok but cut it to size a put turn overs on so on certain days you can remove them and put back on at night ok pal ,
2 wind turbines one on each section you can buy these on temu for penny's I bought 5 for price of 1 on there ok pal .

I've also got a big vent on the side of the RH section about 600 square - dya think I should block that up?

I want to race roundabout next year so I am now thinking of using your polycarbonate idea as folding "shutters" over the lower sections of dowels and hinged drop down shutter from the ceiling to cover the top dowels which could be open and closed to regulate the air flow same as ur sketch Neil.

Just been out to have a look at what I could do to improve the air flow on my shed, I've got probably 2 ft aviary on the right hand side so air can get in, I've only got 3 2 inch plastic pipe on the 8 ft side of the shed none at the back wall.
I could lower the perches down about a foot which would allow me to put a grill of some sort across the back wall, would I need to do the same above the trap, I'm open to suggestions.
It's my intention to make another aviary on the left side, I'm not sure as I have nest boxes in the other section, I could drop the height of the top row & do the same on the back wall, any feedback please.
Don't ask me to take any pics as that's beyond me sorry.

In through the trap, I've got wire on all sides the roof is poly carbonate.
I think I can drop the perches down then I've seen aluminium grills that could be fixed then allow air in that way

Whats the air like in the loft Dave. In mine its very stale!
I can smell the birds badly.
I really noticed it when I went to help young Will ( who came to your place) All he has is a 6 x 6 30 year old chicken shed but the first thing I noticed was no smell and the air in the shed was fresh. It was then I realised something was wrong with the way I built my loft.
Having said that, I didnt have too bad a season ( by my standards anyway) so can only look forward to doing better next year.
I told Will that I would rather race to his little old shed than mine lol

Think u sence when it's right ,,I had beautiful up n over roof loft next to it was flat roof ,,flat roof loft the birds in there were thrashing birds 8ft away in beautiful roof loft ,I changed air flow so up n over roof only had 2 inch of pull along front with in a week both teams coming exactly the same ,just little tweaks and you get it right.
