Another bad one for me!

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Brilliant Ant - I wonder if that suggests that could be a point where they can't see their home and they have to go looking.

I'm sure a pigeon can see many more miles than 6 Dave. The higher you are the further you can see. Likewise the higher a landmark the further you can see it from. I've seen York Minster from over 20 miles away, a pigeon can see it from further.

It would seem nothing too serious going on, my guess they got caught up in a passing batch.

I am now only two short, as the rest have worked back in over today!!

I'll definitely have a look at the willow bark tea, especially if its as effective as you say it is?

1 quick way to find a carrier pigeon put whole flock on willow bark tea 5 days after 2,3 days watch flock u will see certain pigeons carrying one wing little bit lower than other ,,just cull them pigeons I bought pigeons put them on willow bark tea n killed the lot I bought every one was infected ,another way is treat pigeons with parathyroid treatment miss 1 day and vaccine them with a parathyroid live vaccine all carrier pigeons will look like there going to die even after 24 hours kill these pigeons,,my vet told me this is 2008 each season until 2017 I done this n flew unbelievable since then iv had good n bad seasons but not done to the letter that he taught me all them years ago about removing carrier pigeons.

Would you do this to young and old birds?
How long do they take to recover ie, would you do it during racing or in close season.?
Do you give any food, water or grit during the 5 day treatment or is it just like a purge?
