Half a dozen stock birds thought a dawn fly was a good idea, and two of the small ones had their first big fly, I was thinking I'd never get away.
But just for once, at all came together, everything was in surprisingly quickly and away I went.
It's about 70 miles to Bendigo, and I had the radio on LOUD and cruising along. Thinking I wished Devo was here. He likes driving along in the country here, chatting about this and that.
Got to Davey's place, nobody home.![]()
A minute later Stacey arrives, " He's not here, he forgot he's umpiring football".
So I called him. He's on the field, with his phone in his pocket. "Hang on" He says, " someone's going to kick goal".
A few moments later, "Yea I forgot about this".
He told me which pair in which pen to take the eggs from and slip pot eggs under.
"You know where the key is!"
AmazingSo I got home in time for lunch with eggs which went under a pair, I still have no idea what they are off, but there is a youngster in that pen which is fantastic,
