I see
Looking at the distance it must have been extremely short for Andy in Somerset
17 miles 907 yds for me Neil. I’m NNW of the liberation site. Winners flying 84 miles due West. Richard flying 55 miles WSW of liberation site but in second lib. Released in a NE wind.
Did you bother to send Andy being only 17 miles
Yes I did Neil. As you know I only have a team of 10 widowhood cocks. I split them 5 to Blandford 17 miles and 5 from Stoney Cross 34 miles. From Blandford my birds would have had to fly directly NNW from the race point in a lib of 870 birds where most would have been flying W. I was 5 miles shorter than the next shortest member. Mine expectedly all came back from the SW. I had 4 of the 5 fairly close together the other one well late. I also got all 5 from Stoney Cross.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

Was you not tempted to send the lot to stoney cross not sure it was worth the 17 miles race

I was Neil but wanted to see how they done especially as it was a sectional lib. A cheap trainer at £3.50. Not sure about this week though as it’s the whole lot going together. Probably around 1,800 birds that will be going even nearer the South Coast than last week. 35 miles South of me. Combine going to Chale. Both races now going Saturday for a Sunday lib.

57 miles. It’s another couple of weeks before I can get a race over 100 miles. My furthest race is Ramsgate x 2 with the 3Cs 168 miles.
