As you know if you've read my post on the Sussex North Road Federation our club had 9 members sending 169 birds to our first race.
I had 12 away myself, as I've been on holiday the last week and my birds have only been flying out again for about 3 weeks since I shut the loft up in October and have had no training, I wasn't planning on sending. Having got home on Friday and looking at the birds I couldn't resist so picked a random dozen. I wasn't looking to do much other than get them home as I knew which 3 lofts were likely to be on top and with my birds and system I wasn't getting anywhere near them
The birds were up at 9.15 in a light North West wind which at home was a bit on the chilly side, I thought the winners would be doing a mile a minute so would be home by 10.30, which as it turned out wasn't far out.
Our winner, Alan Still was in at 10.34 doing 1845ypm so well done to him. Alan Akemenkalns and Danny Porter weren't far behind so well done to them as well.
I was well off the mark getting my first at 11.04, I had another at 11.06 by half past I had 5/12 the others turned up during the afternoon with the last of them arriving while I was at the club. All in all, although they were well behind I'm pleased with how they came and to have got them all.
The rest of the loft will have to go next week which is 108miles.

Good to see that you got them all home, and most of them were in reasonable time. That will bring them on.
Greetings from the land down under. :D

It's not intended that way mate, it is supposed to be how many birds sent, but for some reason the guy in charge of all our computer stuff can't work out why it won't let him do it, and I certainly wouldn't have a clue lol

This weekends race from Rugby has been postponed until Monday due to the poor weather forecast. We will now be basketing Sunday for a Monday liberation, bit of a ball ache as I have to work but I guess thats the advantage of ETS.
