The South coast Fed are down Andy's way tomorrow at Yeovil which is 95miles to me.
The Littlehampton club had 15 members sending just over 300 birds, I have 23 away myself. I am away next week so won't be racing so wanted to get as many birds as possible away this week, I left out a couple of hens that are due to lay, all my 4 year olds, 8 late 2021 breds and half a dozen broken pigeons. The 4 year olds will go to Exeter on the 30th with the aim to getting a team over the water on the 14th of May. The late breds and broken pigeons need a couple of trainers before going to the later inland races.
The wind will be on their beaks tomorrow so a much slower race is predicted which will hopefully suit my birds 🤞🤞 I've got no plans tomorrow so am looking forward to seeing my birds arrive.

Cheers all 👍🤞
The birds were liberated at 8.50 with no wind at liberation, I reckon a couple of hours so will get out in the loft shortly to start getting things ready. I was hoping for a bit of a head wind to slow these sprint specialists down a little but hey ho it is what it is. These races for me are really just preparation for hopefully going over the pond.

Thanks all, on the whole I was pretty pleased with the way the birds came. I was well down the order again in 49th place doing 1142ypm, my first bird was one of my old reliable birds, a 3 year old Brasspenning/coulter cock who has been one of my best pigeons over the past couple of seasons taking several firsts in the Worthing club. I had 15 of my team home within half an hour and 22 of the 23 home by tea time, the downside to this that the one bird still missing is another reliable 3 year old who also had a number of 1sts and has flown over 200miles on several occasions, I fear he has met an untimely end.
Mr Alan Still took the first 5 in our club on 1350ypm with Browne and Wickenden preventing him from taking the first 6 again, they have also taken the first 6 places in the Fed again. It was a slightly unusual race in that the early birds seemed to get well away from the rest as they were very split with some members getting the odd early bird and then having a fair wait for the others. I'm not sending next week as we are going away so my next race should be from Exeter on the 30th.
