George not your fence so leave well alone just as a warning as well mate I replaced and repaired 3 sides of fencing at my old house and due to it became liable for all future repairs as I was deemed to have taken responsibility for them

I don't know about over there, but here and in NZ the cost of erecting and repairing fences is a joint thing between the owners. Usually price to do it is agreed between the parties, but if one side will not co operate you can do the work and send them half the bill.
Same here Murray in many ways except half the tossers here wouldn't pay a penny to it or lift a finger to help, also you are responsible for the left side and others are shared
