Good idea Muzza, it is good seeing other members photos and sharing stories pigeon related or otherwise. Over the winter months its difficult for me to get photos outside as I leave home in the dark and return in the dark, hopefully I can start taking a few again now you guys are doing a great job of keeping this forum alive, keep up the good work.Murray wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 8:06 am I reckon what we need is more pictures.
I know most of us don't have pigeon racing empires, or palatial lofts. I know I don't.
I have a small loft and a smaller shed with some stock boxes in it.
But I enjoy seeing what other fanciers are doing and sharing what I am doing. With my pigeons and with life in general.
With the active membership being smaller at present, I think we need to become more 'pictorial'. Post things about our pigeons, our lofts, our racing, and general life.
Add pictures to illustrate what we are saying.
If It looks interesting, it might invite more interest. If you see what I mean.
We need to make it look like we are enjoying the sport.
Pictures!

Roxanna’s tortoises are back out in the greenhouse now and I’ll have to start thinking about what I’m going to grow in there.

Some are sitting on the top of the tree behind the loft. Another one can be seen sitting up on the tv aerial on the neighbours house sitting with a woody.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

do they sit in the tree on race day Andy
No George. They will usually pitch on the house roof beside the loft but then quickly drop down. Even if high up in the tree when I call them in they often drop from there straight onto the trap. I don’t mind them pitching anywhere on race days as long as they don’t waste to much time. I’m not sprint racing so a few seconds won’t hurt and to be honest they would find it difficult to get straight down onto the loft from flying around and would waste far more time circling trying to get down than they do by pitching first.
