Life in St Arnaud
It's not a nice day here, trying to rain and a very strong cold wind.
I got the race team out at 8 am before it started raining and they had a good fly. I think the worst is going to be later in the day and tomorrow, so I was pleased to get them out.
It doesn't worry the pigeons but being out in the cold and rain is not good for my lungs.

There was heavy rain this afternoon, then at 3 o'clock it cleared and I took the chance to do the pigeons. It was wet, obviously but I was surprised how cold it was. When I went out I could see my breath in the air. At 3 pm!
The birds were hungry and I had to put just a little bit more in after they cleaned up.
It's cold winter, that's for sure.
Tipping down rain again now.

Thanks Devo,
it has been a very cold winter, I am lucky that the small loft is very good for keeping them warm and dry, but still having some air through the back vent.
I have been tempted to partly close the vent and make it warmer still. Then I wake up. It's a pigeon loft.
I recall seeing the loft of the Janssen Bros. You can see the sky through the tiles!
