Sorry for the slow updates on my racing, my life is in a bit of a transition at the moment. Our youngest brother and his family have recently moved away to Wales, I have been working for/with Kev for the past 10 years or so. I'm now having to go it alone which is taking some adjusting to, I didn't want to have to start thinking and planning at my time of life, but hey ho, we are where we are.

Kelso last week was another very challenging week, with many birds not making it home, once again I lost some good and promising birds, including last years Crieff winner. I dropped another 8, had 5 on the day and one next morning, seen nothing since.

It looks likely that our Federation winner will also top the Combine but we are still waiting on that result.
Well done to Ian Slade for winning our Club and well done to the Fed winner, that bird certainly got away from the rest.
The funny thing is that my first bird this week, and my first bird from Hexham a couple of weeks ago, are both Jelle Jellema pigeons, both from different fanciers and both came into me as stray youngsters, who said strays are good for nothing :? :? :?

This week for our penultimate old bird race we were at Ilkston, 152miles to me.
Due to the poor forecast we basketed on Thursday for a Friday race.
Well again the less said about this race the better, I sent 8, dropped two including my good yearling cock who was 4th club from Wetherby and 1st Club from Rugby.
Alan Still was back to winning ways, so well done to him, he will also be 3rd Federation.
Last race next week is another Combine race from Perth or Crieff, I'll actually be quite relieved once this old bird season is finished now.
I've not got a picture of my clock sheet this week but it doesn't look pretty lol.
