Kelso last week was another very challenging week, with many birds not making it home, once again I lost some good and promising birds, including last years Crieff winner. I dropped another 8, had 5 on the day and one next morning, seen nothing since.
It looks likely that our Federation winner will also top the Combine but we are still waiting on that result.
Well done to Ian Slade for winning our Club and well done to the Fed winner, that bird certainly got away from the rest.
The funny thing is that my first bird this week, and my first bird from Hexham a couple of weeks ago, are both Jelle Jellema pigeons, both from different fanciers and both came into me as stray youngsters, who said strays are good for nothing
