Just for the activists reading this.

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

A couple of months ago I started road training my first team of young birds since we moved to St Arnaud.
I started at 1 mile, then 2, then 3, then 5 miles.
Having got that in their heads, you go out of the box and go home :D we went a bit further up the road.
After they had had several quite serious training sessions, they were given a month off.
Today I took them back to the place that they flew home from last time. They did that very quickly. :D
That was pleasing.
But what really grabbed me was, the red pied hen off the Jos Thone's. She was always going to be in the stock loft. But she had all the tosses with her 'class'.
When I came back from tossing the team, she was racing up and down, she could not understand why she had been left. :( :?
Anyone who thinks that pigeon racing is 'cruel', you've never owned one, have you :D

You only get the true meanings of racing pigeons, when you become a keeper of the birds. Time spent with them is sometimes better than time with humans.
