Looks like the winner was well out in font. The rest of those in the first 10 must have come together . Yes it is quite slow.
I am not sure on the wind direction for the race, but they fly from France across Germany from South west to east.
It's in metres not yards, and just on 1200 mpm over 400 km is not bad. Without knowing the wind speed and direction.
The winner obviously broke way. Good effort
Greetings from the land down under.
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.

I was just looking at the final race in 2023 for the young birds in German classic OLR, the winner was 7 hours 42 minutes on the wing. Over a distance of 410 km. which is 254.762 miles, i would say this was a hard race for the youngsters.
That does look like a wind on the nose job !! The winning bird certainly got away well, unless the others just trapped very badly
What were the overall returns like ??
It's going to be an exciting few months for you mate, it's good to see you with that spark back mate

Sorry Trev, i can not find the total number that was left for the final. i would say it was a nose wind. So the youngsters did very well. The results i found only show the first 100 birds to arrive.
