off this morning for marking for the Poitiers National, 343 miles. Marking is a day earlier than normal for this race due to the ferry timetable.

I am sending 8 yearlings that for them this will be their last race this year.

I think it is a good team and looking forward to seeing how they come.

 The ones going are:

GB19B05849 B.Ch cock from John & Ben

GB19B05852 B.Ch hen from Pete

GB19B05855 B.Ch cock from Dev & Chris

GB19B05857 D.Ch hen from Dev & Chris

GB19B05858 D.Ch cock from Dev & Chris

GB19B05863 D.Ch cock from me

GB19B05882 B.Ch hen from Phil

GB19B05895 B cock from Trev.

Looks like it could be a nice weekend with a light NNE turning light NW in the channel. Good steady race, hopefully 👍

Looks like a nice team, and a nice race for them, Andy.

I look forward to the results.

I am sure they will do well.

On a different subject, how is the red cock? Recovered well from the last race?

Regards

Murray.

His looking well Murray. He has now taken a mate who will hopefully lay in the next few days. Marking for Agen is a week next Monday 21st July. He should be sitting about 10 days by then.

Just to keep you updated Murray. The hen that the Red cock is paired too laid her first egg tonight 👍. Couldn’t be better. He will be sitting 10 days when marked. He will also be pooled right through in the section 🤞🤞it will cost me £63.50 just to send him lol.

Thanks for the update, Andy.

Yes, he will be in fine condition for that race. Smile

Then all he needs is a good day and a favourable wind and he might be a proper chance.

We mustn't get too carried away, but we can be optimistic that he can produce a good result and do you proud!

Regards

Murray.

This is him tonight in his box with his new mate. He certainly worked hard taking all that nesting material up.

The 2 hens that are being marked on Monday for Pau, 544 miles, chipped eggs this morning so will both be sent feeding a small youngster.
