I use large cat trays. Doesn’t matter that they can’t all get in at the same time they will rotate around.

Yep, me too.

On a hot day, you would be amazed by how many pigeons can fit in a large litter tray! Laugh

@stevekulpathey only have the one with the hole? I've been looking at sand pits too so whichever comes first.

Do I have to give them a bath in the loft or can it be outside ?

@mizmo

providing it’s safe to do so it’s much better to give them a bath outside. I used to give mine a bath in my old loft. It’s safer for the birds but does soak the loft floor.

Yes, it is much more enjoyable for the pigeons to have a bath outside.

Sometimes putting a bath down in a loft is beneficial.

On this day, it was 45c outside. That's 113F or something. I put a sheet of plastic down and a tray of water.

They liked it, a lot!

The pigeon leaping into the water is The Diver!

He had three races as yearling, and won them all. He was aimed at a program to race across the water to Tasmania, which was cancelled. The pigeon has been criticised for only winning short races.

He's a pigeon! He wasn't asked how far he wanted he wanted to go.

He is about 5/8 Van Loon. So I think he might have gone 400 miles without much trouble. Wink

I just put him to stock and forgot about it.

Regards

Murray.
