i only have a small loft with limited space i have bought stock birds in with the sole purpose of breeding me one round of birds and then to go. if anyone would like to swap a few stock after this round for some 2012 babies i would be interested to hear from you.

wouldn't you be better to hold on to your stock birds ;untill you race there off spring ?; you might be giving away parents of KING CUP WINNERS ?;only my thoughts;over here the bloke's who don't wont to keep stock birds ;go out and buy race teams ; i believe you have something simular over there;or tours across the channel to the Belguim Markets? cheers '

i know its a risk but i plan to breed only off the race birds in 2013 an supplement with a few babies if need be from elsewhere.i would like 65-70 babies this season with trying to get going again and having the entire 30ft loft for these is better imo than keeping stock in a 10ft section doing the motions especially when they are certain to leave at the end of the season.

maybe my method is madness i dont know, im always trying to learn so will digest your thoughts with appreciation.

Mate ;i would like a 10ft space with 6 good breeding couple's;knowing what they can produce each year;instead of the remaining 20ft with 65 babys hoping ? remember the stock loft is the Engine room ; cheers

your missing my point the quantity of stock i have requires a 10ft section at present and i dont have any wish to keep stock after this season so the birds would be sitting ducks so to speak wasting 10ft of my loft space waiting to leave - in this time i can let me babies have the run of the loft. i dont like overcrowding next season when i have the obs and ybs with no stock there will be no more than 50 pigeons in the entire loft.

Once i have a round they will have served the purpose i wanted and that is to introduce the Tasker blood to my loft
