I agree that letting them have an open loft is the best way, but I couldn't do it here. They would be getting picked off by the hawks until there was nothing left. Already a few of this years youngsters are gone, and the rest have had enough frights that they bolt for the loft as soon as they sense ...

Heavy flooding in Queensland ,lofts have gone under water , Yes it's very bad. It's like when the Brisbane river went out of it's banks in 2011.
