Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
Hello NeilA/Andy, yes I think that's about as good as it's going to get, will pick my races this season & have a rethink personally as to if I stay with it or pack in. I fly in a great club only a few members which is a pity but will see what will change if anything for 2025 with racing, but I t...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
So it should really cater for all with a race program of interest to its members Yes & this doesn't, it's not been fit for purpose for a long time, too set in it's way of thinking I've got nothing against any members that want to fly the Channel but it's always going to have a detrimental effec...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
I've had birds since the early 1980 of 1 description or another & pigeons since 2006, so to be onest I don't know any different with losses etc as this has been a regular part of this hobby for me . To Andy I think the race program isn't forward thinking enough & doesn't do anything for the ...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
Andy I think the Combine race program isn't good 4 times @ Chale with the peregrines on the island what chance have we got. With the lack of distance going E to W it's not a good program in my mind but with a falling membership year on year because of a range of issue's etc age, health, BOP it's not ...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
The financial ramifications of this is lost revenue to all clubs, Feds, Combine etc with falling /missing birdage, this will have an impact on fanciers & the RPRA eventually, with fancier's packing in & a falling membership to our governing body through lack of intervention on there part wit...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
I agree with your point NeilA that all liberation site needs to be checked for everything before agreeing it's use. It will only turn out to be a mobile feeding station for the peregrines, so in my area I have Weymouth, Yeovil, Wincanton, Bath, Mangotfield Frome all these have local population of pe...

Re: Hawks / peregrine lost birds
Hello this is happening all over the UK on training tosses & racing total decimation of people's teams. The RPRA haven't got a clue as to what to do & I dare say they aren't bothered because if they did care they would of acknowledged the situation & went down the legal route/ compensati...
