Re: Recovery from racing

My goal when racing was simple. I want the birds best and finest effort on a Saturday. What happens Sun-Friday with other people's pigeons (and my own) was of little significance to me. Saturday is the be all and end all I've seen birds apparently doing amazing times in training, flying the skies ou...

Re: Stretton FC

Its good to see that your Father's birds are still leaving their mark Mike 😁 Thanks Trevor Yes, it's really lovely to see the birds winning and receiving the feedback each and every week without fail. The winners are never ending. They are still a cracking family of pigeons It keeps ...

Re: Recovery from racing

A good sprint pigeon and I mean a "good one" will give you every inch and ounce of effort in their body in order to get home in the shortest time possible. They'll fly through a brick wall for you. I've met cocks coming in through an open door (me coming out them coming in) and there's onl...

Re: Recovery from racing

Yes of course

All roads lead to Rome, but that's the way I would operate personally

I also liked to bathe them on a Thurs night (ideally)

Below is an example of Phil's droppings this morning from cocks raced yesterday

Their recovery looks good to me

Re: Recovery from racing

In the past I would have agreed George, but the finest way to prepare your pigeons for ther forthcoming race is to ensure the birds have recovered as quickly and as efficently as possible from the previous race. To me this means that Sunday is now "a day of rest" and they start in earnest ...

I like them with a bit of "feist"
